Participatory landscape governance | IUCN

SenseMaker was used to understand and inform the IUCN PLUS program on participatory landscape governance in Uganda. The areas around Mount Elgon National Park and Agoro-Agu Forest Reserves were selected to weigh community perceptions of this protected areas and governance structures in support of natural resources management. Voices That Count trained the data collectors, supervised the collection of voices of 500 community members in/around the protected areas and facilitated the analysis and sensemaking process with the project team from Uganda and Switserland.

This project was carried out in collaboration with the Cynefin Centre.
